Actor and travel influencer Shenaz Treasury shared a few insights into her solo travelling journey. She also spoke about the highs as well as the lows from her years of solo travelling adventures and experiences. Taking to Instagram, Treasury shared a video offering a few lessons for solo travellers and women planning their next perfect getaway and hoping to unwind away from the daily chaos of juggling personal and professional responsibilities.

“Everyone must solo travel at least once in their life. Solo travel is a must. Especially before you get married and have a family,” wrote the influencer as she broke down her experience of solo travelling into highs and lows.

Shenaz Treasury Shares Highs Of Solo Travelling

Among the biggest advantages of solo travelling, she says, is the freedom from time constraints and the luxury of waking up whenever you want. “It is your trip, your rules,” she noted, while highlighting that you have “total freedom… to do whatever you want.”

Along the way, Shenaz Treasury said, solo travelers get to meet strangers and people from diverse backgrounds. She insisted that these “great conversations with people from all over the world” make you feel alive. The former actress added that the time away from the daily chaos and noise allows travellers to “hear your own thoughts” and gives them the space to take up “journaling like a movie star in a cafe.”

Shenaz Treasury Shares Lows Of Solo Travelling

Despite highlighting the number of solo travelling perks, Treasury also gave her followers an insight into the lows that they must be mindful of. For Shenaz Treasury, one of the problems with solo travelling is that you are indeed alone and on your own to make ends meet.

Apart from having “nobody to wake up with”, solo travellers often face “decision fatigue” as people confront the question: “What do I do today? It is all on you.”

The globetrotter also talked about the sense of envy that kicks in. At a point when others are enjoying the trips with their partners or friends, a solo traveller is left “there by yourself… eating dinner alone.”

Often, such travellers also face a spiral of overthinking about their personal and professional life during a trip they desperately wanted and should be enjoying to the fullest.
